Shareholder Ari Wilkenfeld is representing an employee in a transgender discrimination lawsuit against Amazon. The Advocate reported on Ari’s success in defeating Amazon’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit, which is pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia:
“This kind of discrimination is particularly obscene,” Wilkenfeld said. “People feel empowered to discriminate against trans people in ways they wouldn’t dream of doing to a racial minority or any other kind of minority. They feel empowered to do whatever strikes them as appropriate.”
