Our client retained us after being terminated from her employment shortly after filing a claim for worker’s compensation benefits. We sued her employer in Maryland state court alleging that Defendant’s termination of our client’s employment violated the public policy of Maryland. A jury returned a verdict in our client’s favor and awarded her damages.
