Our client was a non-appropriated fund employee who received a written reprimand for allegedly making unprofessional comments in two emails.  We appealed the written reprimand through the agency’s grievance system.  We presented evidence that the reprimand was unreasonable in light of extenuating circumstances, and that the agency retaliated against our client for making protected disclosures.  Based on the evidence and arguments we presented, the hearing officer rescinded the written reprimand.
