Tamara L. Slater represents private and public sector employees in a range of employment disputes. She is dedicated to engaging with her clients and ensuring that they understand the potential consequences of all actions taken during litigation, and is described as “enthusiastic” and “thorough.”
Prior to joining Alan Lescht & Associates, P.C., Tamara was an associate at another Washington, DC law firm, where she primarily worked on cases involving employment discrimination and wrongful denials of disability or retirement benefits. Before that, she was a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, where she worked on a wide range of cases involving direct criminal appeals, civil rights actions, employment and housing discrimination, and Social Security benefit disputes.
During law school, she served as a legal extern at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and legal intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
She is active in a number of community organizations and pro bono activities.
