Courtney J. Mickman Promoted to Shareholder at Alan Lescht and Associates, P.C

October 20, 2025 – Alan Lescht and Associates, P.C., is pleased to announce the promotion of Courtney J. Mickman to the position of Shareholder with the firm. Courtney brings extensive expertise in federal employment discrimination law and administrative adjudication and will further strengthen the firm’s commitment to advocating for government and private-sector employees.

Courtney joined Alan Lescht and Associates, P.C., in March, 2025, with more than a decade of experience in employment litigation and administrative proceedings. Most recently, Courtney served as an Administrative Judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC’s) Washington Field Office, where she presided over hundreds of federal employee discrimination complaints and acted as a settlement judge, facilitating resolutions through mediation and settlement conferences. Since joining the firm, Courtney has zealously represented public and private sector employees and is also a serving a three-year term on the D.C. Bar’s Board of Professional Responsibility Hearing Committee.

Throughout her career, Courtney has been a thought leader in employment law. She played a key role in developing training materials and leading training sessions for EEOC Administrative Judges across the country. Additionally, she has trained attorneys, EEO specialists, and HR professionals at various legal conferences, including EEOC EXCEL and the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association’s annual conference. Her professional journey includes significant roles in both public service and private practice. Prior to joining the EEOC, she represented clients before the EEOC, Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and Office of Special Counsel (OSC), handling complex cases involving disability retirement, reasonable accommodations, and whistleblower protections.
