A physician retained us to respond to a proposed removal for failure to follow procedures, absence without leave, and delaying patient care. The written response and oral reply explained that the charges were based on a misunderstanding and that the proposed penalty was unreasonable. We also argued that client’s prior discipline did not justify a harsher penalty for the current charges. Based on our response, the agency rescinded the proposed removal.
