Applicant v. Office of Personnel Management

Our client suffered from a severe medical condition that required extensive treatment which prevented him from performing his duties. Our client applied for disability retirement, but OPM denied his application a year and a half later based on faulty reasoning. He retained our firm, and we submitted a request for reconsideration. We argued that OPM made several inaccurate statements. OPM agreed, rescinded its initial determination, and approved our client for disability retirement benefits approximately four months later.
