Shea recently graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, receiving Concentration Honors in Labor and Employment Law. During law school, Shea worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where she helped gain a $5.2M verdict for a developmentally disabled client who had been discriminated against by his employer. She also served as a Certified Mediator at the Conflict Resolution Center of Minneapolis, where she facilitated civil mediations in community and court cases for underserved communities.
During her third year of law school, Shea gained valuable advocacy skills while working as a Legal Fellow for the Purple Campaign, assisting in developing a corporate certification program to identify employers taking exemplary steps to address workplace harassment in the wake of the #MeToo movement. As part of this fellowship, Shea wrote an Expert Analysis piece titled Steps to Maintain Workplace Equality During the Pandemic, which was published in Law360.
Shea received her B.A. from the University of Michigan with a minor in Percussion Performance. During her undergraduate years, she interned at the Washtenaw County Trial Court as a Judicial Clerk and served on the board of the Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Organization where she curated events designed to foster interest in the legal profession.
