Emma Halbert joined Alan Lescht and Associates as a Paralegal in 2021. She works with the firm’s attorneys and provides litigation support in a wide range of employment-related issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Emma was a legal assistant at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, where she supported attorneys in housing, family, immigration, and disability law matters. Additionally, she helped manage two multimillion-dollar grants for the housing unit, which funded Legal Aid’s ability to provide full service housing discrimination representation, provide communities with legal information on fair housing law and how to enforce fair housing rights, and work with local jurisdictions advocating for stronger protections for Housing Choice Voucher holders.
Emma has a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College. Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending her time outdoors, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. She enjoys music, has been involved in multiple choir groups, and worked as an usher at Minnesota Orchestra Hall prior to relocating to the east coast.
